We are in need of host families to host students for our upcoming Summer 2011 Homestay Program. This is a great opportunity for teachers who would like a summer project. Our students come from Russia, Germany, France and Spain and are between the ages of 13 – 17. They are coming to experience American life for a month. They will arrive on July 6 and return home on August 4, 2011
All that we ask of you is that you provide a warm family atmosphere for the student. The student must have its own bed, but are not required to have their own room. This would be an extraordinary family project that is just as enjoyable as it is educational. In addition, we are able to provide a monetary stipend of $200.00 each for our French & Spanish students to help defray costs associated with hosting. Unfortunately, a stipend is not provided for German students.
These students are coming to America to experience American life and improve on their English skills. They are fully insured and pay for their own expenses. Becoming a host family is an easy process. You will have to fill out an application and I will also have to come for a home inspection and take photos of where the student(s) will be sleeping.
